Biography/Artist Statement

파리에서 활동하고 있는 노에미 바블렛은 전통적인 예술의 범위에 국한되지 않은 모호한 경계에서 다층적인 작업세계를 점유해오고 있습니다. 특히 그녀의 이력에 있어서 2023년 꼼데 가르송(COMME dés GARCONS) 과의 협업은 작업이 가지는 넓은 스펙트럼을 상상하게 합니다. 바블렛은 2011년 파리 8대학에서 사진과 현대미술의 마스터 학위, 2015년 파리-세르지 보자르에서 회화에 관한 마스터 학위를 소지하고 있으며, 2018년엔 파리 8 대학에서의 강의했고 프랑스 현지의 비평 그룹과 다양한 매체와 공격적인 작업을 통해 미술사적으로 중요한 레퍼런스로 작동될 수 있는 토대를 함께 쌓아오고 있습니다. 이러한 산업과 예술, 피상적인 아름다움과 컨텍스트가 가지는 양가적이며 모호한 지역에서 운신하는 모습은 관객에게 새로운 이정표를 제시합니다.

This exhibition featuring the works of Noémie Bablet, who is based in Paris France, ibased in Paris, France, is part of Gallery Kabinett's international exchange program. The artist occupies a multifaceted artistic world at ambiguous boundaries,  transcending traditional art. Particularly noteworthy is her collaboration in 2023 with Comme des Garçons, which highlights the broad spectrum of her work. Furthermore, Bablet earned a Master's degree in Photography and Contemporary Art from Paris 8 University in 2011, a Master's degree in Painting from Paris-Sergei Bojarski in 2015. She also taught at Paris 8 University in 2018. Through local French critical groups, diverse media, and active work, she has established herself as a significant reference in terms of art history. Operating at the ambiguous intersection of industry and art, superficial beauty and context, Bablet presents new milestones to the audience.
