Biography/Artist Statement
그는 Bombon Projects(바르셀로나, 2022) 개인전과 Life is color (London 2022), Needful things (Rodzlo Gallery, Berlin 2022), Todo es de color (The Curators Room, Amsterdam 2022), Preludios de mi lira, CAC La Sala, Vilanova i la Geltrú 2022 올해의 최고의 디자인, 디자인, 바르셀로나 2021))에 참가했다. 2021년 예술 FAD상 후보에 올랐고 XVI 프란체스크 기메노 페인팅상 최종 후보였다. 2022년 Fundació Vila Casas Painting Prize에 지명되었다.
또한 FASE(L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain, 2021)의 레지던트 아티스트이자 독립 예술가의 책 출판사인 Unica Edicions(스페인 바르셀로나)의 공동 감독이다.
Sara Bonache Rios (b. 1991), who is first introduced to Korea through GALLERY KABINETT, majored in art at the University of Barcelona in 2014, and currently lives and works in Barcelona. She explores the ambiguous relationship between the human body and nature with the inspiration of emotional intimacy with plants. The soft and gentle colors on the works reminiscent of the modernist artist Georgia O'Keeffe evoke a sense of calm and comfort.
She has held a solo exhibition at Bombon Project (Barcelona, 2022) and international group shows including Life is color (London 2022), Needful things (Rodzlo Gallery, Berlin 2022), Todo es de color (The Curators Room, Amsterdam 2022), Preludios de mi lira, CAC La Sala, Vilanova i la Geltrú 2022, The best design of the year (Design Museum, Barcelona 2021). She was nominated for the Arts FAD Prize 2021 and she was a finalist in the XVI Francesc Gimeno Painting Prize 2021. She has been nominated for the Fundació Vila Casas Painting Prize 2022.
Also, she is a residency at FASE (L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain, 2021) and co-director of Unica Edictions (Barcelona, Spain), an independent artists’ book publisher.
